I start with the rules, then prototype in code.

I design for complex, rule-heavy workflows: land registration for the Government of Alberta, real estate search and market analytics, a retail checkout, a loyalty program. I start with the rules and the people, through interviews, service blueprints and business rules mapped screen by screen, and turn them into flows a team can build.

AI is part of how I work every day. I prototype in code with Claude and Lovable, so ideas get tested early as real, clickable products, and engineers get working front-end on the design system rather than pictures. This portfolio is built the same way.

Over 15 years I moved from art direction into product and service design. I work in a triad with product and engineering, bring stakeholders along with clear storytelling, and have led design teams, training programs and a Creative Lab.
